The SAIG research consortium at the University of Alberta plays an active role in the development of methods for multidimensional seismic data reconstruction, denoising, and imaging. SAIG is recognized for the development of algorithms for multi-dimensional seismic data reconstruction, de-noising and the application of sparsity promoting methods to seismic data processing. An essential objective of SAIG is to offer advanced training to graduate students in the area of seismic signal processing and imaging.
